I was born in Manhattan. Being from New York, you could guess that I am an avid sports fan with the NY Mets NY Jets, and the NY Knicks being my teams! You may have picked up my passion for the Mets by my choice of colors for this site. While the reason you are probably here is to know more about my products and services, I make it a priority to connect with my customers so that I can truly understand what their needs are. As part of that, I feel like it is important that you get to know me as well.
For college, I did not go far from home. I attended The University of Pittsburg then I joined the Coast Guard where I spent 11 years and while in the Coast Guard I attended Marshal University in Huntington, West Virginia. Upon completing my time in the Coast Guard I was looking for a new career. I ended up in Home Improvement sales for the next 8 years, where I won numerous awards for being a top producer both locally and nationally. During my time in home improvement sales I was always asked “how do you continue to be so successful year after year?” The simple answer was and is “I care about what is important to my clients”. I listen to what they want and I ask questions to clarify. I would never promise something I could not deliver and I was always available to address their questions or concerns.
In 2002, I was approached with an opportunity for a new challenge in the Mortgage Industry. It seemed like a perfect fit. I now had the opportunity to be the ultimate service provider, helping people make their dream of home ownership come true.
Outside of work, I enjoy participating in sports as much as I enjoy being a spectator. I enjoy running and have participated in a few half marathons with Team in Training, an organization that helps raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Some of my fondest memories are mentoring and coaching my two nieces who had never run before, to complete their first half marathon and to expose them to Team and Training. The following year I was equally as proud when my oldest daughter and middle son challenged me to run the full marathon with them. In addition to my new found love of running I enjoy playing soccer. Growing up playing on a traveling soccer team gave me such a solid foundation about team work and I use this philosophy in all aspects of my life.
As if my work and my love of sports weren’t enough, I cannot tell you enough about how much my family means to me. Those that know me know that my pride and joy are my 5 wonderful children and my amazing wife, Tracey. Soon we’ll be welcoming yet another child to our family. I am a very proud parent. Through the years we spent many weekends watching my four older children play collegiate sports. Three of my older children have graduated college and the fourth is currently enrolled. To integrate family and my love of sports even further, I have been traveling with Tracey since 2005 to see the Mets and in 2008, our youngest began attending with us as well.
When I am not playing or being a dad, I spend my time assisting people like you with financing their home purchase. Buying a home is one of the most important purchases that an individual or a family will make in their entire lives. That’s something special and it’s something that I want to be a part of. I have now been at it for over nine years. I never stop learning and Tracey would insist that you know I am the recipient of numerous awards during my tenure in the mortgage industry. I give her much of the credit as she handles the marketing aspect of my business and has been working with me for the last 2 ½ years.
As a way to be better at what I do, meet new and interesting people and help those who are looking to take out an investment in a piece of real estate, I also provide regular home buying and home selling seminars at Ft. Eustis Army Base in Newport News, VA and occasionally at other venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. In addition, I spend a great deal of time speaking to medical students about the opportunities that exist for them when purchasing a home.
What it boils down to is that I know most everything about my family and a great deal about sports, but what I likely know the most about is how to get my customers in a home while ensuring that they find financing that meets their needs, fits their budgets and saves them the most that they possibly can.
